New to the forum truck mods to come
Hey guys, I'm new to the forum. This past Saturday I traded my 98 GMC Jimmy for a 1991 F150 Lariat. Its been a work truck for sure but I've started working on it and have plenty in store for it. I'll introduce myself first. I'm 24 live in Flintstone GA. I own my own house and work as a drafter for Tennessee Valley Authority. I have a 1200 sq. foot garage with every tool I need except for a lathe and a mill. I restore and custom build vintage motorcycles in my spare time and work on my 75 corvette. I've been working on bikes since I was 9 and I learned how to rebuild a carburetor.
The truck:
The truck I picked up Saturday has power windows. Rebuilt trans with about 100 miles on it. Speedo says 88k and judging by the brake pedal, I'd say it doesn't have more than 188k. good solid truck all the way around, it just needs some cosmetic work done. Paint is chipping and someone tried to dye the tan interior a hideous oxblood.
Planned work to do:
I've already got the dash and interior in pieces. I'm dying everything Black and pulling out the crap carpet to Rhino line the interior floor. After that, I'll strip, sand and prime the truck and get it ready for a new paint job (I have access to a paint booth) Once I get it painted, I'll probably do a 2.5" lift and put some 33's under it. Roof rack, light bar, etc. should look good.

Welcome to the forum. That's a sharp looking truck. What color do you want to paint it?

Alright, quick update, Last week I got the interior dyed black instead of that hideous tan/Oxblood mixture. Ripped out the carpet and truck bed linered the metal floor. sorted out my windshield wiper issue and got my aftermarket gauges installed (long story). This past weekend I drove down to Atlanta and picked up a set of almost brand new 33x12.5 RVT radial Wide climbers (that awesome old pattern). Picked up a set of MOOG CC-844s on Sunday. Got them all mounted and installed Sunday night. New seat cover yesterday, Smog pump delete belt and radio install coming today. heres some pics.

Very nice. The stance looks great with the new springs and the 33's. You'll have to let us know how the 844-s springs work out - they are supposed to be quite firm.
