Hogwash. I have one installed in my front tank for well over a year and it's been nothing but great.

plenty are incapable of delivering high enough pressure right out of the box. im sure some escape the factory working correctly and last for awhile.

Hi,
Well....I learned my lesson on Spectra with a dizzy!

I use Motorcraft for EVERYTHING now!

If I don't use Ford/Motorcraft, it is because I can't get it!!!

YMMV!!!

It is too early to tell, I don't have years of service to refer back to, but at this point, price aside, I'd take the Carter over the Motorcraft. First off they have a good reputation, second looking one over the quality of everything shows, from the welds to the wires and fittings. I can't see inside the motor, so that will have to be taken on faith. I'd definitely take a Carter sending unit over the Motorcraft, I'm going to go back into the rear tank on the '96 because I used Motorcraft, and the gauge doesn't work. the first picture is the Carter

Hi,
Never heard of a Carter....

But my Motorcraft is original OEM and still going strong? (28 years?)

Hard to argue with that! (to me!)
