My friend has a 94 f150 5.8. Someone who owned before him really ****ed the exhaust up. The cat had holes punched in it from the outside. I guess he was attempting to "gut" it. My friend wants to straight pipe it but I told him to get an aftermarket exhaust. Anyone have any good suggestions to a good after market set up or a good straight pipe set up.

it really depends on his budget.

if he wants to re do them, just buy headers and true dual exhaust.

i've got straight pipes and i like them. i just cut off the cats and ran two 7ft pieces of pipe back along the frame. was going to put tips coming out the side but i never did get to it. oh and straight pipes are cheap. cost me about $60 to do mine

Thanks for the replies guys sorry took a while to get back to ya. We are gonna go with the straight pipe idea more cost affective and I'm sure he would be happy with any loudness he can get
