Need help comparing frames F250 vs. F150
Hey guys, been awhile since I have posted. Anyway, my father inlay has a 1990 f250 that is getting old and tired, and currently has a meyer plow setup on it. He is looking to give it to me to maybe fit on my 1990 F150. We are not sure currently if the frame are at all the same width, thickness and all the info I need. Meyer wipe wants info to contact you to get any info from them. So if any one would happen to know difference please let me know. I would put them side by side but mine is in Ohio and my father in law is in Maryland.

Same width (where the frames are built the same shape) & thickness; but they may not be the same shape at the front frame horns (where the bumpers mount). The F150 has coil springs; the F250 MIGHT have leaf springs (if it's 4WD).

Probably a no-go.
Presumably both trucks are 4x4 to consider having a plow.
The brackets that attach to the frame will be very different. On a 250/350 you unbolt the shock towers, install the bracket and reattach the shock mounts through holes in the bracket that match the ones in the frame. Your 150 will have a shock/coil bucket which is riveted on and probably wouldn't go back on over the bracket anyway.
Very unlikely that anybody still has stock in brackets for a 90 F150.
Other problem is that generally the plows put on F250 and 350's would be much too heavy for a 150 to handle.

Thanks for the info. I know exactly what you are referring to for the shocks and all. Both vehicles are 4x4. I will have to have a talk with my father inlay as I think he may have installed a different model plow on his truck just using the F250 frame mount. If anything I can adapt it to fit some how. Plow will only be used to do my driveway and road so not like it would be used to make some side money. I am debating wether to do it to the F150 anyway as it is in far to good a shape and I would like to figure out my plans for it.
