Okay, all is good and repaired. The shifter rails were damaged, so the shop found a new top end in Dallas. Overnighted for $100. Got the new top end installed, clutch, pressure plate, pilot bearing, flywheel and slave cylinder installed today. I was worried about the pilot bearing removal, but thanks to youtube, I tried the "Bread Method" and it worked flawlessly! Really cool. Contemplating a set of new front springs. My front end is really soft and the wheels lean in at the top when parked. Just had a front end alignment a few months ago and no mention of any problems, but it's noticeable sitting still looking at the truck. Watched it coming up the drive when my son was driving it a little while ago and both front wheels looked perfectly straight. Not sure! Thank you for the help!
