Now for real a real suggestion! Replace your fuel filter, it could really be screwing you over. And even if it doesn't really need it or you don't know, it's a $4 dollar part that's easy as hell to do, takes 5 minutes.

With my stock tires on my '91 300 2wd I was getting 17-18 to the gallon. Now with 31s I pull in 16ish.

Also, drive conservative. If you're driving that 150 like a Mustang, you're gonna do terrible. I accept that my truck is slower than molasses in wintertime, and it's alright, just crank up some tunes and you'll get to where you're going when you get there.

And if you really get adventures, pick up a mid '80's station wagon rear end. Should be a 8,8 and have gearing in the hi 2.something series/ratio.

basically take every thing off the frame that you dont need. fenders bed bumpers hood spare tire... no seriously though run STOCK size tires, you can find this information on the door jamb of the drivers side, its not a myth about bigger tires = worse gas mileage to an extent, say if your truck calls for 235-75-15 and you put on 265-75-15, 235's are roughly 28" high and 265's are roughly 31's, your odo will be saying you have went less miles than what you actually traveled, so when calculating mileage you need to figure in the percentage of change, use this site, http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html dial in your stock size and the size you currentally have on, it will give you the percentage your speedo is off, figure up your mileage using the corrected actual mileage and you will have a more accurate figure.

no no no. you got it all wrong the doors are there for safety. Take the mirrors off less drag. Arent they there for looks or vanity purposes only?. But seriously you must have a problem or a worn out engine. My 94 6 cyl gets awesome mileage highway around 18 and city around 16 and i have 31's but thats it for mods. But I do have big mirrors. I think a major tuneup and timing check would help. Just be glad you dont have a v-8 with a problem you could have been in the single digits. Also I bet if you have a cat its plugged if all else doesnt apply.

its got normal exhuast but i dont think its worn out just yet...but anyway i swapped the engine and it idle high when you start it up and i was wondering why, we took it to a mechanic and he timed it when it was all done but he said he couldnt figure out why it was idling so high (around 1500 when you start it up) it does kinda idle down but if you kill it or shut it off it will do the same thing

vacuum leaks possibly? idk if it would hurt mileage alot but it wouldnt hurt to see what shes's drawing for vacuum. Should be like 19lbs hg, or whatever units its measured in.
