Just seems like a real waste and you wont get very far. Turbo, NOS, none matter when you dont have the setup to work well with it. You want fun, take that 3k and buy a bike and then you will have some fun!

Turbochargers on a truck is pointless on a 3k budget. a work/ race truck is just as cool as a car boat. yeah it can float but not all to well and sure it drives on land but not all to well...

they never made 10 foot beds for the 8th anf 9th gen f150s to my knolage. might be a 10th gen thing.

best you can do is get a K&N drop in filter get new plugs wires rotor cap oil change ect ect. keep it running nice and smooth get headers(If its a v8) and dual exaust set up. get some decent rims and tires for it make it look nice.

Yeah you can slap a turbo on a stock engine and hear it wistle down the road like all the ricers and audis around here but really its going to blow out seals and your going to end up melting a pistons.

Still have no idea on what engine you got. it does matter...

This is cool though:
Not that it can't be done, just not for 3k...

Step 1) Take $3000
Step 2) Buy foxbody

Trust me. It'll take 5-8 seconds off your quarter mile. Lol

BTW, I'll probably end up turbo-ing mine, but that's gonna be after Trick Flow heads, LT headers, pistons, ported intake, etc,...

for 3k your not going to be able to turbo charge it. I do second the buy a foxbody. Do what i did. I had my DD truck and my project car. saved a hell of a lot of money and 0-60 times where crazy better then my truck! 3k you can get a pretty decent fox body v8. or another 80s v8 car like a Montie or gutless.

the 351 is pretty good. and if you dont care about money all of a sudden. buy a 429 and then go to Broncograveyard.com and buy yourself a kit to drop it in. Or if you want to go diesel 7.3l powerstroke. then again if money does not matter you can buy kits for dropping in a 24v cummings...then again if you dont care about cash get any engine and drop it in. the problem when supping up any engine is that they all have there weaknesses and strong points.

and I alredy told you a nice starting point for any new truck. K&N drop in filter. better plugs wires ect. swap out the rear end engine ect. this site is chalk full of mods.

(the best engine for our trucks as far as stock preformance is the lightning engine)
