Mine does it too, my moms brand new escape does it, my dad's '04 Mustang does it, it's the tranny. Autos just do that when you're gliding then get on the gas harder than a feather hitting the pedal

A couple things I usually ask for diagnostics: has it always done this, or is it a recent development? Did you make any changes just before the problem appeared? Is it severe enough to interfere with normal driving?

Autos are amazing when you drive semi for a living LOL

Assuming you ruled out the TPS. Add a can of "Transtune" to tranny fluid & post results in 50 or so miles. It can only help improve the function. How many miles since last servicing?
