Lol I lived at St. Vincent and Wellington, Oakley Park and 10th line of Oro next to Hawkestone. At least you can still go to places like Simcoe Auto or Tracey's

Yeah I go to Tracey's all the time. Never anything new though which kind of sucks.

got the brackets today. i was actually surprised with how heavy duty they are. the whole box weighed about 20 pounds. they were a great deal from the site only costing $45 bucks, but after all the shipping i paid about 90 bucks to get them up here to ontario, so im probably going to look towards making my own pieces from now on unless i have a big order.

and i was talking to a guy last night about spools, and i think im just going to weld my rear and save the money to get a good locker. im going to do it a somewhat right way though rather then just popping the diff cover off and welding the gears lol. going to take the diff right out and use the 220 mig on it and clean it up nice before i put it back in. im just going to leave the front for now unless i can get a virtually free lsd or something lol. im still going 4.56 gears though.

going to see whats going on tomorrow and maybe starting digging into the rear axle tomorrow, ill post up whatever i do.

You don't want to pull the carrier out of the axle to weld it. Your at a greater risk to warp it. And run the chance of everything not lined up right.

I have a couple buddies running welded diffs, they pulled the spiders and side gears and did something like this

That way you can still use the carrier if you go to a drop in locker like an ez lock.At least two of them are daily driven, and seem to be ok.

I ran setups with the side gears welded to the case in a nissan and a ford 9" both were stick welded, both made scary noises probably from cooking the bearings.

I was wondering what you had in mind for Radius arms and remembered this build, He's running beams but something like it might work for you, I think i would have gone with 70s style ford radius arms, etc, but You ain't building it for me.

The build i robbed the pic from,

Those arms look a lot like what some of the jeep guys run , I have seen some problems with the locknuts,or jam nuts on the frame end coming loose, and the threads acting as a swivel, rather than the joint , or rod end, red loctite helps.
