It was just time consuming. I think im gonna put it on the lift, pressure wash everything and paint what i missed. I didnt intend for it to be perfect because i drive on dirt and gravel all the time. I figure ill just keep some paint in the garage and touch it up from time to time. I like it. Looks alot cleaner, sleeker, meaner, and bigger.

yea- one thing i question is painting the driveshaft. gotta be careful with adding mass to rotating parts / having a weird weight distribution on it.

Well i ran over it with sand paper and knocked the rough rust off. And primed it as even as i could, then about three coats of paint. I figure if 3 oz. Of weight total paint sets a 50-60 lbs. Driveshaft oit of balance, somethings wrong. I wouldnt undercoat it or por-15 it but paint should be good.

Thanks man. Im trying. It needs a bath BAD. Ive been hauling brush on dusty roads for 3 days straight.40 mile round trips. It needs another detail and wax before summer.

I waxed my truck and my wife helped me wash her rice burner 2 weekends ago. I'm done for another year unless I get bored.

I try to keep wax on it 3-4 times a year. Im obsessed with washing it because it always looks dirty to me. Part of the reason im trying to de-chrome. De-stainless and all that. Im still debating when i get my exhaust redone if i want to dump it or run it at 45's behind the tires. It will be black powdercoated tips. That way i dont have to polish em.
