Sounds like a good plan: is it a push button or in the floor lever for the 4-wheel drive. Mine was in the floor and it never gave me any problems.

Mine is push button. I need a new dash piece because i just pushed my tank selector switch out of it today. It will probably last, hell, i might fix it with duct tape. Ive been trying to find a donor truck with my interior to steal parts from. Nothings missing. But 16 years has left its mark on the door panels and stuff. Its actually really clean, never been smoked in, no holes, burns, scratches or marks. Just the plastic is getting brittle and all the small connectors are starting to go bad.

Well from the pictures it doesn't look like it has near that many miles on it, and not everyone has one. I swear not a week after I bought mine I saw 4 more just like it.

Ive noticed that. You never notice em til you have one. Theres alotta generation 8 and 9 trycks running around here but none as clean as mine. And ive found the ext cab models are scarce. Not many out there. Especially 4x4.

Yes that is true: who's Raptor is that in the picture with your pickup? It's a nice truck, but I'm not spending $60,000 for one.

I have no idea. Parked at the school one night when i had a show for building and construction. If i could afford it. Id buy one over a regular pickup. I dont really haul that much. The only draw back for me is the lack of aftermarket lift/wheel/tire options. Id love to have it for an offroader.

True that.
As far as the truck i think i might put it on the lift tomorrow and start sanding the frame and such, get it ready for a few good coats of rustoleum. Im also gonna figure how hard the driveshaft is to pull out and paint it red with duplicolor to match the truck. My tires need rotated so that will be the perfect rime to get it up on blocks and tape everything off and paint the frame and stuff thats visible in the wheel wells, and also paint the fender wells with something tough, idk what yet. All in all im pretty happy. Got the new bedliner going in in a week or so and probably gonna spray the toolbox to match. Mom and dad, mainly dad, are helping me out with suggestions(new, since they like to say no to alot of things). So i might drum up the courage to ask for a birthday/christmas present of new smoked heads and smoked tails and 3rd led. Im getting excited fellas.

Well. Changed the oil last week and today i spent alllllll day painting the frame. Had to rotate tires so it was a good time to do it. Didnt sand or anything, except for the driveshaft and diff cover. Primered both of those and PTM'ed. Everythig else was just pressure washed, dried, flat black krylon rust protection base coat followed by a gloss of he same brand. The plastic wheel wells where just painted with alot of thick flat black coats, no shine. Entire visible frame, skid plates, axles, springs, sway bars, gas tanks, hitch, and exhaust up o the tip painted black. I put ceramic heat paint on the visible part of the cat and on the visible exhaust tubing. Dad ok'ed the three inch body lift today. So ill be buying that and all new body mounts as my old ones are starting to go. Ill paint more when i put the body lift on.
