Looks like a lot of hard work going into that F-150. Love seeing someone take care of an older truck and taking pride in it! Nice work man!

We were done sanding the primer and making sure all the body lines were perfect, so it was time to spray on the sealer. This is the layer between primer and paint.

I have to go to school, but when i get home i'll upload the paint pictures. Thanks for the feedback everyone!

My Build Thread (Big Red)-forumrunner_20120612_081846.jpg

I'm doing this from my phone, so hopefully this turns out alright. This is the new paint. It's called Firemist Red and has tons of metal flake in it. I think its a pretty awesome color.

Just got home from school, only 1 more day to go

The next part of the build was to prep the truck for paint. We had to scuff the whole truck with something similar to Brillo pad, or steel wool. After that was done, we gave the truck a quick once-over and checked for any more dings or dents. We wiped the truck down to remove any dust, and taped it off. First we painted the door jambs, under the hood, and all those other hard to reach places. I was in school when my dad painted the outside of the truck, but when i got home i was amazed. I never expected the paint job to look as good as it did. Let me know what you guys think.

Next, we had to take it home and get back to work on it. We were using a friend's barn to paint it in.

We got started on the wet-sanding a few days later, and I started to get my interior cleaned up and back together. Once That was done, I took out my headlights and grille to get ready for the new ones that I ordered.
