Steering column has different pieces bolted on it. And you might need the bit of wiring harness for the clutch (starter) switch

You'll need a new flywheel for the 4.9 the 5.0 won't work, won't need the computer or wiring, but you will need to either wiring in a neutral safety switch or jump the wires. Steering column is fine but will need trimming for the pedals to fit easier

Default Bell Housing?

Does 4.9L share clutch housing size/bolt pattern with 5.0L? If not, M5OD from 5.0L will not bolt up to 4.9. The M5OD has NO REMOVABLE bell housing, it's integral with the transmission case.

Another possible stumbling block: the adaptor which mounts transfer case to transmission. Will E5OD adaptor work with M5OD?

Just a few thoughts from one who doesn't know for certain. imp

Same bellhousing bolt pattern. Adapter won't work but he said he has one for the 5 speed.

Isn't the E4OD controlled by the computer? Seems like you'd at least need a retune.

It's not a 2014. You can't "retune" these trucks.
