Found the problem!!!
Well, I finally made time to go out and check the modulator...yep, you guessed it!! I pulled the vacuum hose off and fluid ran out...modulator diaphragm is bad...probably need a new vacuum line too since it is all soft and mushy, obviouisly been this way a while...once that is done I will see how it shifts!!!

Got it fixed!!!
OK, put a new vacuum modulator in, plus changed out the hose, and tested it...worked PERFECT again!!! However, when I was changing out the hose, I found also that there was a cvacuum leak where the hose connected to a little plastic vacuum distribution box...so I eliminated that point and ran the tubing directly to the manifold.....like new agan...
