just use the truck intake, it won't kill the horsepower, if you look close enough, you will see that the truck intake is the exact same as the holley systemax intake on the inside

will i need a new fuel line, fuel pump or egr since im switching from an inline six? and also i phrased the intake question wrong. i meant to ask will the upper intake from the truck fit the lower intake from the cobra?

The cobra intake wont mate to the truck stuff. If u are dead set on the cobra manifold u should be able to flip it the opposite direction. But i'll be honest, the truck intake probly flows a lil better and you will have better low end torque with the longer runners on the truck intake

exactly, just remove the lower cobra and install the truck lower and upper. And those cobra intakes run somewhere in the neighbor hood of $500, so you may be able to make some money of that thing. i didn't know you were switching from an I-6, i thought you wanted a 302 w/ more power. Anyway, i've got a truck intake, fuel rails, injectors, egr, and fuel lines for a 302 so let me know. And on the intake, i ported the upper t.b. opening for the twin 61mm bbk throttle body, and the lower i welded up the bottom of the corner runners and straitened the corner ports out for alittle higher flow.

hey fellas
i have a 95 F150 with a 5.0 302 EFI that has a rod knock at 305k miles LOL

i got a great deal on a entire mustang that was crashed in the rear with 72k miles on it, its a 94 with the 5.0 302.

i know the swap is possible.
heres what i already know:
i have to use the trucks intake manifold
i have to use the trucks exhaust manifold i think?...
i have to use all the acc brackets.

can i use the exhaust manifolds from the mustang?
one of them off the truck motor has a crack in it...so im curious if the tubular mustang exhaust manifolds will work for my truck

also curious about injectors...can i use the mustang injectors with the truck intake? they probably flow more. will that be fine with the trucks stock ECU?

is there anything else that i need to know about this swap?

please let me know if there are any other issues i need to address

thanks

-Dewayne

First off the mustang injectors are the same. Just a different fuel rail. The mustang headers should work but you may have to slighty modify the down tubes into the converter. You will have to use the oil pan from the truck. Also compare your waterpump and timing cover. I know that on pre 93 5.0's are different than 94 and after as far as the fiming cover and pullies are concerned. Other than that your swap should be a matter of bolting everything up

Don't mean to hijack but, I found an upper and lower ho intake from an 87 mustang gt for sale and I'm just wondering will that work with my 96 5.0L? Can I just swap that for now and then do explorer heads later on? My truck has MAF and is OBDII if that makes a difference.
