Default More of the same starting problem

Hey everyone,
The other day I posted with a slow starting problem. I had the battery checked, and it was at full charge; so the alternator and battery can be ruled out (I think). However when I was having the battery checked the guy from autozone noticed that when I went to turn over the engine the + wire going to the battery turned red hot, and the - wire started smoking. I assumed that this was just because of bad connections so I clipped the old connectors off, stripped the wire back, and replaced the terminal connectors. This solved the problem perfectly for a day. However, today, the problem is reverting back to the way it was a few days ago. I will attach a video so that you are able to hear the way the truck is firing up.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxAgM...ature=youtu.be

The truck is a 91 f150 5speed with the 4.9L

If you have any questions PLEASE feel free to ask.
THANKS AGAIN,

Ken.

Mine started real slow then eventually acted like it had a dead battery. Eventually the starter locked up so I had to buy anew one. After installing starter the seliniod next to the battery stopped working the same day. So I replaced that and the thing started like the truck was brand new

I just watched the video you posted and that's basically what mine did I think it was the seliniod by the battery

So what do you think would be the most cost effective way to go about it? Replace that solenoid by the battery, then the starter. Or the other way around. Should I just have a professional look at it?

I'd buy seliniod first then starter but before you buy anything make sure your connections are tight and not corroded. There's a ground on the starter and 1 on the fender

I just looked on the Internet and its usually the starter. I replaced both so I don't know but now that I think about it the seliniod would just go out.

Yeah I would buy the starter because I'm pretty sure I fried the seliniod trying to start a truck with a dead starter

If they are the original cables in the truck, get new ones.

Thats what I was thinking. It seems to make the most sense, and would be the cheapest. I work with a bunch of machinists, electricians, and gear heads. Hopefully my truck will start tomorrow and I will be able to make it out there to get an opinion from someone at work. Thanks for the help.
