Exclamation More brakelight issues...

Own a 1996 F150 XLT, 5.1 L. My brake lights recently stopped working. According to fuse box and power distribution box diagrams, there is NOT a fuse to change to potentially repair the problem. When looking at bulbs, filaments appeared to be burned out, but changing bulbs didn't fix the problem. Brake lights are the only ones not working right, everything else is fine. My next step is to check the stop light switch, but if that doesn't fix the problem, I would like suggestions as to what to try next?

Ok I'll do that...also, if anyone has a chilton's manual or access to a diagram of some kind, I'd like a visual for when i'm looking for the brake light switch...

on my 89 it has 2 green wires on a plastic assembly, also not to be confused with another vaccum operated brake switch if cruise control is so equipped but it only has a vaccum line attached to it. bloth are located above and in front of the pedal i believe.

The brake lights are on a fuse. My diagrams say fuse 13, 15 amp.
