Not knowing what size tanks you have, I am guessing you are getting 4-5 mpg.
I am getting a little over 400 miles out of both tanks in my 1987 302 running 31/10.50. Thats only about 11.5 mpg. I was thinking my MPG was borderline bad until you posted yours. Mine is looking better now......LOL

88' F150, 300 inline six. (4.9), Auto, 2wd, 245/75/16 A/T. Getting around 10-11 mpg so far. That was with turning the truck on and off several times working around the farm. Also pulled a couple trailers.

You look to be getting around 9 mpg. Your front tank holds 18 gallons of gas and the rear holds 19 gallons. Now that 9 mpg is figured on stock tire size. You said you are running 31's. That will make a difference in the actual mileage driven versus the mileage shown on the odometer. I did some quick figuring and it looks like you are actually getting around 11 mpg. I don't know if I figured this right so you should check me. The difference in tire size throws you speedometer off by about 7%. ( I got this figure from www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html / You have to use your stock tire size {235/75-25} and then put in the new tire size @ 31' {315/65-15} ).So when you are doing 60 mph you are actually going 64.7 mph. So you take 360 (miles driven) and divide it by 60 (average mph)... You get 6. Multiply 6 by 4.7 (this is the difference in your tire sizes) and you get 28.2 (this would be the total mileage missed if you drove 360 miles at 60 mph). Add 28 to the 360 and divide my 36. That leaves you with about 10.7 mpg. I hope that this helps out in your trek to find you MPG. Peace & Chicken Greece!

I forgot to add that I have a 1995 Reg Cab LWB 5 sped 302 with a 3.08 rear end. Getting around 12.2 to 14.5. The best I ever got was 16.2. That was all interstate at 75 mph including a tailwind.
