Lucas Fuel Goo
I bought a gallon of Lucas Fuel Treatment and I'd like to seperate it into smaller bottles. The obvious safe method would be to pour it into empty 5.25 oz bottles of Lucas, but I don't have any. Is it ok to pour it into any clean plastic bottle? I'd like to keep a few bottles in each vehicle. I can get 6 oz bottles from the pharmacy (they're sterile). Would this be okay to use?

Ford recommends you NOT use a fuel additive, but if you must then any clean container should work fine as long as it doesn't leak and you can pour it in the tank. IE capless fuel filler.

Only thing I would use (and regularly do) is techron because it has PEA.

I have an '87 that didn't see much use for years before I bought it a few months back. Is there a reason for them not recommending fuel additives, even with the corn gas of today's world?

Just use a top tier fuel [ not to be confused with octane ] it has all the additives you will need. Ford and most other manufactures do not recommend fuel or oil additives as they may not be compatible with there vehicles and with today's lubricants and a top tier fuel are not needed.

I use Gumout in my tank as well from time to time. Gumout Multi-System Tune Up to be exact. And I definitely use Top Tier fuels in all of my vehicles.
For those that might not know what Top Tier fuel is, please take a look and educate yourself so you can make an informed decision on what you are putting in your trucks.
