Here is couple pictures of my truck,, stock ,, 2" drop shackle in back w/stock front set-up,,, and with full lighting suspension..

When I added the 2" drop shackles truck leveled out nicely. And when I added the lightning suspension I left the drop shackels on but *** end sat too low,, so put stock shackels back on..

Stock

2" Shackels with stock front set-up- stock 2000 F-150 rims/tires

Full lightning suspension, rims/tire size

ma94xlt, What did you have to do to get the 2000 wheels to fit the 94? I understand that before 97 they used a 5 bolt 5.5" bolt pattern, and 135mm on 97 and newer. 5.5 = 139.7mm

btw...Your truck looks nice sitting like that.

The last picture is with the Lightning suspension so it is lower than a regular stock truck.

Thanks fella's for comments... Can see more pics here----> http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3141518

To put the newer rims on is simple. Need to open outer edges of lug nut holes little, and use older style f-250 lug nuts. The older style(late 80's) look just like the new metric lug nuts but have SAE threads. They have the washers on the bottom instead of being acron shaped. The rims are centered by the hubs( hub centric) instead of the bevel of the lug nuts.

When I put those on, was wanting the king ranch rims but couldnt find set local, so those were 2nd choice..

where did you get your full lightning suspension? is there a kit somewhere online or did you pull it from a junk yard. also, how did ford lower the lightnings in the rear? did they just use drop shackles?

I bought a abused lighting, and swapped everything over. Ford did a complete different suspension set up, with the front and rear springs.

The lightning suspension is more of a handling suspension. Stock 150 is more of a work load suspension. Not sure of exact spring rates, but the lightings have shorter springs up front and different leaf spring set-up with slapper bar type spring. Also have front and rear sway bars, and the 8.8 is beefier with 4.10 gears. If I woulve kept the 351, my truck would pretty much be a lightning, minus the frame and Vin #...
