Default lowering

hey guys i am thinking about lowering my truck about 1 inch in the front and two in the back, kinda like the lightning. i was wondering how to lower it just an inch in the front. i am gonna put 2" drop shackles in the back, and want to even it out about an inch in the front, but lmc only has the drop beams which lowers it 3" which is way more than i want. thanks alot!

Your only choice pretty much is 1" lowering springs.

You could get a set of stock Gen 1 Lightning coils and swap em out or pull the spring bucket out from under the spring. Keep in mind you'll need to buy adjustable camber bushings (about 37 bucks a pop) to get your alignment right otherwise you'll eat the inside of the tires. Here's how mine sits with a leaf pulled out the back and the spring buckets removed.

And before with roughly the same size tires.

Belltech makes a 1" lowering spring and DJM has 2" drop shackles. Both available here: www.summitracing.com

same shocks. You only have to get shorter ones if you go lower than 2". I lowered the rear of my truck 2" (DJM Shackles) and am still using the stock shocks, no problem.

Rear, front, doesn't matter. It's all about travel. If you blew out your shocks, you either had the wrong shocks or went lower than 2".
