Lowering 1992 f150 flareside
Yeah i was looking into lowering my truck atleast 3" front 5" back and like to get some knowledge on whats out there if anyway possible to not pay 600-700 dollars for belltech i beams and id like to do a flip kit for the back but ive read theres notching your frame involved and like to stick with just bolt ons.. I thought i was going with the DJM 3/5 but ive read more bad then good on them.. Any insight on what my best route would be to get a 3/5 would be highly appreciated.. Thanks

lost my Car again...
alxe flip kit would fit but the axle will be close to the frame its best to notch it and weld it back up so its stronger. there are other company that sell lowering kits for the front. If you want Bolt on stuff and want it that low its going to cost. there are drop shackles you can get to lower the rear 3 inches. the front is kind of the same any way you put it. It will be worth the money for sure. just lowering your truck 2 inches in the rear and the front 1.5 inches with springs will give you a mean look with out the major price tag of lowering it that low. anything lower then that you need drop shackles or your trucks front end will be crap and all jacked up.

Im thinking of buying a similar truck and raising it. Its 1992 F150 XLT. Its a 5L 8cyl engine with overdrive, but its 2wd. I was hoping to lift it 2" and put some bigger tires on it. Is this even worth the money and effort if its only 2wd. Im looking for true off road performance just a more rugged stance for the truck. It would likely be a daily driver. What do you guys think? Any Advice?

everyone has diff. outlooks on rasing and lowering vehicles theres people that would say why lift a 2wd? and others say yeah.. alot f people will lift them mainly for looks then performance in the woods... In my opinion i look at it like slam 2wd and jack up 4wd.. but thats all it is is opinon man you do what ever you want when it comes down to it and its all done its your ride and you take pride in it.. so in for me i wouldnt lift it unless i planed on taking it in the woods.. im wanting to slam mine because its in the process of being a street truck.. no more pulling boats or hauling stuff
