To Drop or Not!
This is my official 1st official response and post. So please be kind. I have heard on many post and forums the big question "To Drop or Not". I think a large majority of the Ford population, especially Pre-97 F150 the general consensus is "Not". However, this is a personal choice and deciding factor on what you want to accomplish with "your" truck. Trucks are generally not well known to be racing or street machines. This is probably especially true for "Ford Tough", working machines. Many conceive these automobiles to be "workers", "utilitarian", "daily drivers", etc. etc. This does NOT mean Pre-97 F-150 have to labelled as such in my personal opinion. We chose to purchase an "American Made" automobile for whatever reasons and any of those reason are valid. I personally chose my 1995 Mark III F-150 because 1. American Made 2. Reliability 3. Semi Custom 4. Awesome Styling of new and old. 5. I can fix it! (mostly). 6. I can customize to my liking.
Here are pics of my Mark III with the regular stance and lowered (thanks to Photoshop). As I am still debating the age old question "To Drop or Not"! I have already purchased the DJM 3" front, 5" rear with the Nitro shocks from stylintrucks.com. As a matter of fact I am looking at the unopened boxes.
Keep in mind I want a street machine! I want to be able to take advantage of aerodynamics. And most of all create a work of art regardless of whether the majority likes it or not, as I have to live and drive it everyday.
I hope this helps with your decision as I would love to see your creation regardless if its on the Ground, in the Air or Middle Earth (apologize for the LOTR reference).

Just call me sean. Really
He said Aerodynamics and Old F150 in the same sentence
That being said, it's all owner choice, as long as it's done up nice and clean, don't matter if it's lifted or slammed. But if you slam it, you gotta cam it
