When I lived in Western Maryland back in the 70's, all the junk yards let you in to pull parts or just look around. Still remember all of the V-8's for $75.00! Those days are long gone.

An engine here is still only $180 with a $30 core charge so they're still not bad. Depends on who's working the counter though because some are a little over zealous and start charging for water pumps, alternators etc. others just let you roll out with everything.

to bad that winch is missing the motor and the control box. it would make a good one, but it'll take about 4-500 to get it running.

If you want to sell it, I'll give you $50 bucks for it, I could use the spare parts, if you pull the spool off it should fit in 2 USPS flat rate boxes.

let me know, I can paypal, or western union.

I have the motor and the control box. Whoever owned the truck before had fabbed up a metal strap that connected to the hook on the winch cable and then around the crossbar on the winch bumper. When the winch was reeled in it was his way of preventing theft I'm assuming, wasn't hurting anything but looked liked hell. You're not allowed any battery power or anything that creates a spark at the Pick 'N' Pull so I managed to unbolt the motor and the control box, bend the bracket down enough to unbolt the cable clamp and then toss it aside. Winch works fine, not going to cost me a dime to get it running.

There's tons here so I guess we're lucky, here's inventory as of today and they're swapping out a bunch of these as we speak.

Not the Auto Wrecker but close enough. Needed a mint rear bumper and this one popped up on a local Facebook Swap Shop page.

There are 6 or 7 here in the Metro Detroit Area. They all have their good and bad points. One thing they all have in common is that when a fresh F-series is rolled out, it is picked clean and within a week or two. I also like to work on small engines/garden tractors, and there is one near here that has a crap load of stuff like that. I bought one of those electricians back-packs and I have all my tools in there, so it's a lot easier to carry tools around in that back pack than with a tool box at the end of your arm. I could do pick-N-pulls all day, every day. love them!!
