Lifter tick or spark knock
As the thread states I have one of the two issues but Im not sure, I raced a buddy the other day on and after we stopped my motor was ticking(300 I6) it had done this before months back but stopped and after about 5 min after the race the tick went away. Now upon startup you can hear it for roughly 2 seconds then it goes away and runs fine, any thoughts? Is my timing off or is it just noisy lifters

That's lifter tick. Are you sure the truck is full of oil? If it sucked the sump dry as you raced it would tick because of lack of oil pressure, then it would go away as the oil drained back to the pan and pressure would come back up.
When you hear the tick in the mornings that 2 seconds is the time it take for oil to get to the top of the engine.

One way to combat the lifter tick on startup is a good oil filter. Fram filters are junk and are known to come apart internally and push filter material through the engine. Also they let all the oil flow out when the truck sits. Motorcraft filters are awesome! They have a check valve in them that does not allow oil drain back when the engine is off. This ensure the filter is full when you turn the key and gets oil to your lifters really quick.

Got to go with a filter that has a silicone adbv. Purolator Pure One is what I used on my old engine to stop the startup rattle. Also, use a 5w-x0 motor oil.

Purolator has been having quality issues lately. There have been multiple reports of issues with them so id shy away from the for now. Just use a Motorcraft filter.
If you use thicker oil the tick will last a little longer at start up because it will take the thicker oil a little longer to reach the top end. Id try a good synthetic with a motorcraft filter.
Now to address the ticking for a while after you run it hard. I bet the oil isnt draining back to the pan as fast as it should. You might have some buildup in the engine restricting the drain passages. Change the oil and replace 1 qt with a qt of mmo. This will help clean things up. Do that for the next few oci's and see if things get better.

I remember seeing that on BITOG.
With that being said, Motorcraft filters (made by Purolator) are off the table as well because there are Motorcrafts on that Purolator defect spreadsheet that they maintain over there.
There are other options available, but at that point, you're going to the elite level of filters for an engine setup that isn't exactly elite.
