Do straight-six engines even use Knock Sensors?
I think Knock Sensors are only a V item, not on Inline's. What exactly was the code# ? Also, this code will only present itself durring a KOER scan, not KOEO. Which test did your code appear in?

the inline does have a knock sensor. it is on the block near the distributor. i checked with the dealer and they dont carry it anymore. i couldnt find any store that had one. i have had similar random codes like yours but have yet to find the problem. the only sensor i havent replaced is the knock sensor

Default Knock sensor???

I have a 5.0L 1996 f150. If you have spark knock it my be that the Dizzy has a problem. You should further investigate that your Dizzy is advancing correctly.

I had a faulty module in mine which was making it advance out to much but with a quality testing facility should be able to determine this with ease.

Hope this helps.
