just uploaded this to supermotors for another reason and saw this thread a minute later.
I removed the metal contacts from the door panel light socket and carefully drilled it out to about 3/8", then glued the LED in there and soldered it to the original wires. They light up prettttyy dang good I must say. (camera can't handle the awesomeness.)

i used RIT die . i used 1 bottle RIT in a spray bottle. then filled the rit bottle with water put in spray bottle then filled the spray bottle the rest of the way with water. sprayed light coat on to the carpet then used a brush to get inoi the carpet.let dry.i used 2 fans. i did this 3 times

Yeah I tried rit dye a too but I didn't spray it or brush it in. I soaked it in a big plastic tote for 24 hrs. My carpet was red to begin with it came out purple. And didn't hardly dye at all where it was folded. I just might try and brush some in. What color did you start with?

Plasti dip comes in a rattle can. You use it like spray paint but it feels rubbery.

And it works absolutely great on your interior pieces too. IF IF IF you don't touch them often. It's crap on door panels, great on a dash board!

i used black just follow my formula and the way i did it and it should work out fine

They also sell a kit to do your whole car you buy gallon(s) of the Plasti dip and thin it and use a spray gun check out www.dipyourcar.com pretty cool deal I'd tear it up but cool lol
