Default This intake setup

Hey guys I was wondering how I could get my intake looking like this. I know I need a cone filter but where do I get the 2 into 1 adapter piece? And also on my airbox now there is a hose going of the side of the airbox that goes somewhere down near the oil cap. Is that hose necessary if I ran a cold air setup and how would I hook it up if I needed it.

That hose goes to a PVC valve, also that's a warm air intake not cold air. you can combine the PCV hose into the warm air filter or give it it's own filter

Okay so he put a separate filter on for it. But why is it a warm air intake? And is there any advantages for this setup? Because my stock airbox is sucking in air right from the center of the engine bay...

Stock setup is cold air, taking air from the engine bay or fenders is a warm air intake. These cone style "cold air intake" systems are fake and are just trying to con people.
Think about it, your engine bay is hot, why take air from there?

If that's the case, then you're missing the intake snorkel. It goes from the bottom of the air box to the top of the core support on 5.0 and 5.8 and from the box to a hole next to the radiator on the 4.9 and 7.5. I'd personally look for the 4.9/7.5 snorkel because it should have better flow.

Separate filter is messy. Just put it in the pipe like the picture.

Well i got one of these cone filters now but i left my snorkel or what ever you call them things bolted to the support so it would send cold air to it.

Now, just build a box around it and you'll have a good CAI.

The O2 sensors are in the exhaust not the intake
