Default Intake Manifold Confusion

Hello all,

I have a '96 F-150 with a 302 and have some busted off bolts in the lower intake manifold. I figured it might simpler just to replace it but have found some opposing info on compatibility.

Some info says because my truck is OBD-II it has a different intake than a 1992-1995. Others say I should be able to go back as far as and '88 intake.

Can anyone help me clear up this confusion.

Thanks in advance,
Paul

Advanced auto shows the same base for my 92 and a 96 302. But its only showing a performance base, not sure of the physical differences from stock

Thanks for that info, It's the lack of concrete info that's proving frustrating.

The 92-95 lower intake will fit on the 96 BUT the EGR tube might not fit correctly.
