Default Idle Problem (pretty urgent)

When driving my 96 F250, 351, E4OD, 2wd, (it has MAP intake if that matters) it does not return to idle fast enough when coming to a stop. For example, when approaching a stop sign you let off the gas, press the brake and come to a stop. After stopping, it does not return to idle for another 2-3-4 seconds. We have scanned it for codes and it doesn't throw any. It pulls and works hard from 7-6 everyday so we need it badly. Thanks in advance!

I know it's Christmas, but anyone have any suggestions? We need it for work this week, and although we can drive it, it is a pain and potentially dangerous...

Have you checked the throttle cable to see if its sticking? Also check the throttle body to see if it working ok or has a buildup inside it.

This.

Check to see if you open the throttle body under the hood if it returns when you let go of it, sounds like something is sticking.

Yup everyone seems to agree its a sticking throttle cable or return spring.
