Default Idle

Hello. I just joined the site. This may have already been covered, but here goes. I have a 1993 F-150, 5.0, 5 speed, 4x4. When I shift, the idle comes down at an extremely slow rate. I've had the TPS changed and this did not help. It's driving me nuts. Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have spent a small fortune on this truck. Thank you so much
Eddy

Check the Idle Air Control valve. It can get gummed up causing slow release. You can clean it, but if it's suspect it's probably better to just change the widget.
