I heard that the K and N only suck in hot air on these trucks. so I relocated my washer fluid tank and made my own that sits in a clear path of fresh air. my truck now runs cooler and you can hear the air getting sucked in, I was going to make a heat shield but, it don't really need one. also the pic makes it look close to the rad but its not at all.

This is mine - the same filter that K&N sells with their kit for my model year, a couple pieces of exhaust pipe, and a couple of hose clamps. With no A/C condenser coil in front of the radiator, there is a nice passage through the core support that flows air through the engine bay. The rear seal has also been removed from the hood opening. Most of these trucks have a line running hot coolant through the throttle body anyway, so getting all worked up over cold air is silly.

Thank You. I made it. I'll post some pics later on how it looks the inlet side front of the truck. It be too expensive to make more rigth now Im still in procees of buying all the tools I need to make parts and I only work with Stailess steel for now its so nice and clean. Its little more money than regular steel but people have to buy it just once it last for ever. Im still looking for different ways to make the parts and try to be cheaper than other companies. might be later I work with regular steel but not for now.
