Noise coming from drive belt or pulleys?
Hey guys I need some help. I have a 1994 ford f150 4X4 with a 5,8L in it. A loud chirping like noise is coming from the drive belt or pulleys. It sounds like it is coming from the left side of the engine. Engine has a new drive belt, new alternator, new water pump, new ac compressor, and a new clutch fan pulley. None of the pulleys are hard to turn by hand, the power steering pulley does have a little bit of resistance but I don't know if that is normal. I made a video but I don't know if you guys can hear it.
Thanks Curtis

Hell the only thing left is the idler pulley and belt tensionor. Check for proper tension on the belt, if it has good tension then just replace the pulley/bearing assembly and leave the tensionor, along with the idler pulley.
I always replace any non-powering pulleys with the new belt on everything I've ever owned. They are very cheap, and since they will be replaced with the belt I usually get the cheapest ones I find on rockauto.

Not to alarm you but ive heard smog pumps make that noise. but do as fltdriver stated and check or replace the tensioner and idler pulleys. also if you need to be certain you can start the truck with the belt off it and make sure the noise is only in the accessory drive. also if you get a long rod (screw driver or pry bar) you can use that as a "amplifying" device and hold that up to a pulley bolt or whatever to see if you can hear it through the screwdriver/pry bar. (don't know if you try that or if that even makes sense to you. figured id throw it out there incase you need to try it)
edit:i took some things out of this because they weren't really relative at this current moment. but if the time comes ill chime back it. it probably wont get that far.

Spray some penetrating oil on the pulley bearing back and front. That may make the noise go away temporarily. If it does, you will know where it's coming from. Do one pulley even a few times and let it work it's way in. Don't spray all the pulleys at once is what I mean because if the noise goes away you won't know where it was coming from.
And in case you do have to undo that smog pump, get the bolts soaked good w/ pen. oil because they don't like to come undone.

I went through a YEAR of frustration trying to figure out why my 1995 5.0 would get belt chirps, which eventually became loud chirps, then a rapid metallic tap, which became a LOUD rapid metallic tap. My go-to mechanic couldn't isolate it, and neither could a second shop. I bought a stethoscope and tried finding it myself. No luck. The belt was twice replaced, which made a difference at first, but the noise always came back within a few days. The engine ran fine, but by last week, the tapping noise from under the hood was driving me nuts, so I tried a 3rd mechanic, who quickly found the issue. The crank pulley was completely shot. Two of the four bolts that attach it to the balancer had sheared-off, and the remaining two would have sheared-off, eventually. He replaced the pulley and the balancer, and it's never been quieter. My sanity has been saved... I'll upload a photo of the old pulley, if anyone's interested.
