1987 f150 with a 10.25 rear
i know i have already brought this up i curently have an 8.8 is it possible to just bolt on a 10.25 rear out of an 1987 f250 or is it totaly difrent as far as mounting wise

you replacing the entire rear end, with drums and hubs from the 10.25?
If so, I hope you have some 8 lug rims/tires, or you'll be SOL.
I'd probably stick with the 8.8, because aftermarket is wide open for the cool stuff... but if i had to upgrade, ford's 9 inch would be my ticket... but if I had a choice, I'd keep the 8.8 for as long as possible.

yeah 8.8 is nice for a mustang when you start pulling things it just cant handle it i actualy have 2 8.8 curently restoreing my 87 f150 step side from a bad accedent. do you know if the 10.25 will bolt right in to my leafs and shocks or do i have to change something
