How many miles on your 5.0?
I just turned 164,000 on my 89 with a 5.0 in it. Just curious to see what everyone else is at before they died or had to have it rebuilt.

216,xxx.
Have had to replace the plenum-to-manifold gasket due to a vacuum leak, the intake manifold gasket proper due to a coolant leak - where I also changed the timing chain while I had things apart due to free play out of spec, and the valve stem seals to reduce the blue puff on startups.
It may sound like a lot, but I am still rather pleased with the longevity and reliability.

I had to change the ECM, and it leaks oil a bit, but those of you who had leaks and had to change the intake gasket, what symptoms did you experience, cuz i am thinking mine is starting to go out

FWFord - mine leaks a bit towards the rear of the engine. Been told it's likely the rear main seal. Eh, I've been taking the oil takes less effort than changing the seal approach.
That's one thing I like about the Jeep 304 - a two-piece seal, just have to drop the pan to change.
4x4Ford - my intake manifold symptoms were a high idle and a weird whistling noise directly behind the distributor for the plenum-to-manifold gasket. Found a section of the gasket missing in that location. This happened in the days before forums such as this where one could get questions not in the shop manual answered, so stumbling on the magic tool combination to get that Torx bolt out was definitely more luck than genius.
On the lower gasket, coolant was leaking at the front passenger-side corner, right where the manifold, head, and timing chain cover all come together. Had been leaking long enough before I noticed the drip, that the bolt there was corroded and subsequently snapped, presenting yet another degree of difficulty.
