Glad you asked that question "Skippy"! http://www.seafoamsales.com/motor-treatment.html

And now, it also comes in a "handt-dandy" spray for getting into those hard to get upper intake
"nooks & crannys"!

Remember to type my screen name in the Discount box when ordering, for a 10%................! (Just kidding)

Guess it would depend "why" it's knocking. I'm tempted to place that in the "pooched either way" category. Personally, I'd go for it! But every time I've had a low end knock, the "Engine Grim Reaper" wanted in!

I am a firm believer in Seafoam. I use it in every motor, (gas & oil), I own, all my trucks, Harleys, even lawn mowers, (riding & push), including my weed whackers & chain saws!!
I think it is a great product & is a product that has been around for many years.

Awesome for cleaning out built up carbon in your motor & or keeping your motor clean to start with.
Part of my going over with any used vehical I buy I run a can of it thru the intake by allowing it to be sucked in thru a vacuum hose while the engine is running to clean out carbon in those hard to reach areas, along with a can in the oil change & can in my fill up.

I loved Sea-foam. However, that being said, I used it on my truck after I bought it from an auction and that is how I found out it had a blown Head Gasket. I am now having the Engine Rebuilt (as I write this) by a local engine builder. I am grateful that it cleaned out my motor because I would hate to have been on a long road-trip from TX to California and find out on the road. Sea-foam Works

It sounds like my main bearings are taking a dump. When i changed the oil the other day I saw metal deposits on the drain plug (more than normal) but didn't "play" in the oil to see if i could find any chunks of anything. Since I live in Fl i put 20w50 oil in since 99% of my driving is during the hottest part of the day. Any suggestions on how to possibly counteract the bearings going to hell fast besides being gentle with my right foot?

AMSOIL could have prevented that from happening

Lucas Oil Stabilizer. You can run up to 50% with your oil. So if your truck holds 6qts, you can use 3qts of your 20w50 and 3qts of Lucas Oil Stabilizer. I'd be willing to bet it would make it quiet if not eliminate it. Plus you can increase your change interval to about every 5k rather than 3k so it'll end up costing about the same anyway.
