Default How hard is it to change....

How hard is it to change the windshield in a '92 F150? I have called most of the day and tried to get people to replace it for me but either they are to high priced or can not do it today. Most just can not or will not do it today. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I did first ones I called. $264 + tax. I believe that is just a bit high, and they could not do it until Monday.

Gotta have a special tool to cut the windshield out of your truck, then you have to have a special epoxy to sort of "weld" the glass onto your truck. The trim is reusable.. If it was me, I'd still have a professional do it, it's a real PITA. Just my 2 cents.

well they have a life time warranty if it chips or breaks they will fix or replace it for free. that's not bad considering a price for a new 2009 f150 windshield is 900+ see if someplace will put one in from a junk yard that might save you some cash if they don't brake it.

I went online and looked at safelite. Says their prices are better online.. $154.95 + $20.00 for mobile service in the middle of nowhere.. + Tax of course. For a lifetime warranty? They're gonna be doing my windshield I guarantee it.

Online quote for my 96 F150:

Web-Only Price: $224.95
(includes labor, before tax and service fee(s))

So, the obviously have a roving price range.

Have a pro do it. $270 is still a decent price installed. I can have my local junkyard install one for $150.
