1992 f150 5.0 wont stay running
i posted earlier this weekend of my brothers truck not starting at all, found out it was just plugs, so put 8 new plugs in it and it started firt turn of the key, today it ran fine when we took it out of the garage went up the street and back and pulling in the driveway again when i let off the gas it died, had trouble starting it but we got it, we got it back to the garage and it died again, 20 mins later went out and it started and ran fine, shut it off then started it again and it wouldnt stay running.... any suggestions? thanks, its a 1992 5.0

no start
it probably wasn't the plugs to begin with unless the old plugs were really worn or fouled w /carbon . the good thing you don't mention anything about the engine running bad while it is running . it also started first time after the plugs replaced . try a fuel additive I like to use Lucas . also spray the throttle body w/ a cleaner . this may overall improve the problem . it is a possibilty the throttle position sensor ( T P S ) is going out . also consider replacing the fuel filter along w a additive that removes water from the tank - not sure if lucas does.
hows the air filter ? what about torn air intake hoses where you can't see.
good luck let us know what you find out .

Go to the link I posted the last time...it tells you how to check for codes. The light doesn't need to be on to store codes in the system. The TFI is mounted on the driverside fenderwell.
