i will be putting on a new dual exhaust this summer and had a few questions. first off, should i go with 2 1/4" piping or 2 1/2"? i was leaning towards 2.5 since i want more of a growl. second, for sound and performance, glasspacks or thrush welded mufflers? again i want a nice deep growl, that is fairly loud, and i want to keep the torque curve basically the same, since i heard different mufflers have affected this. any input from you guys would be great, everything is always so helpful.

i still think the flowmaster 40 or 44 sounds the best on the 5.0 engines, i'm not sure what difference the size of the pipe would make but i would go with a 2 1/2 also

i like the flowmasters too, but the thrush's are less than half the price, and those sound pretty good too. but if someone can try and convince me to go for the flowmaster, i'm listening.

i got a magnaflow or either a flowmaster i cant remember, brother put it on, but i got a 3in pipe and it sounds awsome for my taste

but personally i like the flowmaster super 40's. very deep. as of now i have a magnaflow high flow cat and a purple hornie glasspack on mine
