Personally save your money when it come to MSD unless your turning
some serious RPMs, heavily modded engine, or high compression.

Will find all leaks previously plugged by sludge from regular oil. Retorque to spec, the pan & valve covers prior, and supposed problem solved. Just because sludge is plugging leaks, is not a logical argument to punish the rest of the engine! Don't use Synthetic because it does what it's supposed to, run cleaner??? Geese, I give up! Whichever type you decide on, run 20% Lucas oil stabilizer for improved cold start top end protection.
Heres the best bang for the money: http://fullsizebronco.com/forum/show...ht=timing+bump During a discussion w/ a Pertronix Tech regarding an ignition box addition to my current Ignition system set up (60K HV coil/.46 ohm// brass cap & rotor// MSD superconductor 8.5 wires// stock Motorcraft cooper core @ .54 sidegap) he suggested I save my money by forgoing the purchase of a box. He said the reason was, there would be no unburned fuel for the box to capitalize on. However with a stock gap plug, where fuel ignition depends on spark intensity & duration rather than my set up, which relies on Spark Kernel exposure (Producing less residual by-product heat when doing so), the box would be beneficial. Here's a link about sidegapping plugs: http://www.performanceunlimited.com/...degapping.html Stock gap for my 87'302 is .044. I also get 17/23 MPG.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA this is funny....

Higher spark output means cleaner burn and better performance and BETTER MPG....

they work the best at idle and lower RPMS where the fuel is the richest...it can only help not hurt...but it does cost...

It won't put you on the poor farm, & could actually end up paying for itself!

It should help both, at least minimally.

Like I said my opinion but for the money I would rather have a TFI with a long Dwell

But I do agree as far as the MPG goes.
