Thumbs up Hollowed cats? No muffler? That's crazy talk!

So fellas I got a question for ya. I currently have no muffler and i was wondering if i hollow the cats will I be a little too loud? I'm a big fan of that pure rumble of the motor, although i'm not a fan of getting pulled over. And no I do not live in a **** state where my truck has to love the enviroment.

No muffler... you're too loud now, lol

I say; it would not be any louder than it is now.

But why? Your 302 would sound good with mufflers and dual-tail pipes.

Your 5.0L engine can be heard for miles without a muffler,
many times from people you really don't want to hear you, just sayin.
You know; those nice people with the pretty Blue Lights on top of their cars.

Have a great day!

My truck has a 5.0 without cats and dual flowmasters. I love the sound of it. here is the video of it.

I always have to worry about barney and his gun, but i'm more of a rebellious type, ya know stickin it to the man! LOL And sounds good Country but at the moment money is an issue if I wanted to get a new muffler. The funny thing is that my exhast is so rusted out that i had to cut a good 4 feet off becauseif it rusted anymore id be draggin the mother[bleep]er. So I was gonna hollow it out and recyle the platinum and maybe make a little extra $$$. Does anyone know what I'd get for bringing in a bag of that stuff? I'm sure not a whole lot maybe a pack of cigarettes?

How will it run ****ty? The cats dont really produce that much backpressure and compression.

they give it enough. mine without cats and mufflers was ****in slow. just adding 2 glasspacks helped a ton in gaining back power. it however is your truck so do what you wanna but from what ive learned id never do it again

didnt leave it long enough to find out. i went from single cherrybomb and two cats to no cats and no mufflers to adding two cherrybombs.going from the single to dual i gained about one mpg. the worst thatll happen if you do is throw a set of mufflers on it. post vids when ya finish
