super bad alignment
i am not to sure where to start with the truck, i bought it about a month ago and the alignment seems to be real far out. the truck runs down the road straight with out much problem but when i look at the truck the wheels seem like they flop from straight up and down like this l l to having the bottom of the wheels flopped out looking like this / \. im not sure if i should start with ball joints or springs or if im headed in the complete wrong direction. if someone could point me in a more positive direction before i just start throwing parts at the truck.

Springer Spaniels Rule
Your front springs might be shot, Mine were bad I put new hd springs and fixed most of the camber problem. Take a jack, lift the front cross member about an inch, and see if it corrects the camber. That will give some indication of the springs.

the ball joints are a living hell. I broke one of those ball joint presses for the parts store, i ended up using a 12 pound sledge hammer to get them out of the steering knuckle

yea i think i might be going with both springs and ball joints, the only good thing is its not my primary vehicle so if it needs to sit a few days it can.

u sure u arent looking at the wheels after you have been in reverse??? the TTB suspension is notorious for doing / \ in reverse.....test that out for me..put it in reverse back up ~20 feet then look at the wheels, then drive forward like 20 feet and look again

it does do it mostly in reverse but i will do it once in a while in forward too, it also sounds like there might be a slight noise in the front end when turring the wheel from backing it up. its kinda weird that these trucks are known for the funny wheel angle. what is the reasoning for it

you know, i was thinking about what you said in this post ^^ and i decided to try it out today because my front tires are like / \..... the alignment on that truck bugs the hell out of me!!! so i back up for a few feet and i got the really bad alignment..... i jumped back in the truck, and drove forward a few feet and the front tires were straight as an arrow thank you for posting that because it really is true about the TTB suspensions.... i wonder what makes it do that though???
