Dim headlights is a common F150 problem (at least for the older F150s). The problem is that the wires used in stock wiring is small, and it travels a long distance (relatively speaking, of course) from the switch to the light, so several volts are lost. Instead of buying new-fangled LED and xenon bulbs, try this - it's cheap, fairly easy to do, and you'll get brighter lights (that are legal and won't blind other drivers):

I along with a few others have preached this. Very simple to do, easier than wiring hid's. Some people justdon't understand the benefit of relays and uupgraded wiring. Thanks for your post and link.
