Default Help! Getting wheels for my 96 F150, 20's or 22's I can't decide.

Hey guys I am in the middle of a dilemma. I'm sure most of you all know that there is a limited market for wheels when it comes to the 96 and older F150's. With that said I have found two sets of wheels I like. I wanted 20's because I think they are the best looking fit. I'm looking at a set of 20" Boss 335's pictured below

I'm also looking at the Boss 338's pictured below which I think look better and would give the truck the little bit of old school hot rod type look which I would love to have on it but they only make them in a 22" wheel for 5x5.5 bolt pattern. I just don't know if 22's would look too large for the truck making it look stupid :/ What do you guys think about these over the 20's? Need some serious input here. Been waiting to buy for months because I can't make up my mind. Love these wheels but don't want my truck to look like a donk. Thanks in advance!

Just go by your own instinct. You wouldn't want my advice. I think 20" is entirely too big. I always hated when someone got a real pick-up and ruined it by putting big, stupid-looking rims on it. May as well make them spinners. Add some of those lights for underneath. Buy you a nice selection of flat-bill hats and oversized t-shirts. Blast some terrible rap music and call it a day.

I think the biggest I would go with on these trucks is an 18...and that's with at least a 33" tire.

I'm still trying to figure out if I can take the 16" wheels off my explorer and replace them with 15", lol!

I think I see where you guys are coming from. I an normally for smaller wheels and bigger tires as well but in this case off road tires would ruin the look of this truck lol. I'll post a picture of it so maybe you guys can get a better idea why i want a little larger and simple looking wheel.

I would put 24s on it. With 45s... that would be awesome

Id go with either I like them both. And put the 2" lower shackles in the rear so it sets level. lower the back so it's level (not dropped) and it'll be a cool street truck.

i'd definitely lower it if that's the look youre going for and those 20s would be better than the 22s
