Unhappy help

I'm having quiet a few issues with the old 5.0 she isn't getting enough fuel...or this is what I'm assuming. The past week or so she hasn't been my daily because it wasn't shifting which is a whole other problem. But after tapping the gas a few times I'd get it up an running. Went out this morning an nothing. The fuel pump turns on an its trying..but I'm lost. Where should I look next?

1995 302 243,372miles I've been wanting to do my filter but haven't gotten around to it. Could that really be causing the lack of fuel ?

Test the TPS. It can also cause shifting problems, especially if you have an E4OD.
Also test your fuel pressure.
