Thanks when I get home I'm gonna go check those grounds. The donor vehcile I took this from was running good and Im using everything from it except the computer currently. So Im gonna swap ECM's and if still no luck trace back those grounds and if still no luck maybe the realy went bad while I was switching things around not likely but possible. Thanks for your help. I'll keep everyone posted on my findings.

Ok I dont have my tester yet but mu injectors were leaking real bad I tried tightening them up and actually got some pressure in the system. But I think one may still be leaking. I will no when I do the test I actually had some combustion but it still did not start. We will see. Thanks NGM I checked all the ground and swapped computers first before I noticed the leak but thnks for finding the info.

Well yet another update. I tightened up all the injectors but engine did not start. Had exhaust which means the injectors are firing but when I get the Noid light I can test them all individually. What I did find today is that my low pressure pump is not working or at least I have power at the tank ie. a ground and the pink/black power wire on the tank but no fuel comes from the line right before the resevoir. I guess I will have to drop the tank and swap out pumps with the Bronco. Heres the new question

Why would the truck not start if the low pressure pump was not working?

The high pressure pump works but I can hear it running constantly it never shuts off but if I am right it should once the system is pressurized right?

I'll get some pictures up of the project soon to. Thanks Guys or should I say NGM

Okay another update
After droppin the tank I noticed the Previous owner had removed the low pressure pump all together (This guy is fricking killing me) so I modified the one from the bronco and we now have a low pressure pump as well. Unfortunately still no start though. I need that dam Noid light to check all these injectors. So todays question is a simple one

Should I still be able to hear the high and low pressure pumps after the system is pressurized. When I turn the key on I hear them both kick on but should they stop once I have reached the proper pressure?

The pumps will cycle for 3 seconds when the key is turned on, then they should be on while cranking. I know its hard to hear them over the engine turning over though.

Oh, and BTW, The Fuel Pump Inertia switch is located on the TOP OF THE PASSENGER SIDE KICK PANEL. Just look and you'll find it.

Thanks my inertia switch is onthe drivers side and I bypassed that a while ago dam. So what could be causing the pumps to stay on for a long period of time. Air in the system? Crappy high pressure pump?

Ok the tester came today. All injectors are firing and the system with key turned ad engine cranking stays at 41psi and when each injector fires the needle drops about 2psi then right back up. When I shut off the system the pressure goes down instantly but slowly it will last about 20 seconds. Now from what I know this fuel system should not be keeping the car from running so i went and checked spark and it is strong at every plug then I checked compression which is 140 at each cylinder and holding. My only thought is the timing which I did build this motor so maybe I screwed up but that would not be like me. Does anyone else have a reason why it would not be starting????? Also I have not put on the exhaust manifolds yet think that might do something????

Bring your #1 up to TDC on the compression stroke. Pull the cap off of the distributor and make sure the rotor is pointing @ #1 spark plug wire. If that is good then I would pull the plugs and see if one of them is wet with fuel. 20 seconds is to fast for the fuel pressure to leak down. If you had the cam out of time it would show up in a compression test. If none of the plugs are wet pinch off the return hose and see if the fuel pressure still drops that fast. If it does I feel you have a leaking injector. If it dosent then you have a bad fuel pressure regulator.

Yup still had a leaking injector. So now pressure is at 41psi when i turn off the key it drops to 38psi and stays that way for a long while. Actually I dont think it went below 30 after 20 minutes. I checked the rotor at TDC and it was right on. And like I said before all cylinders have 140psi compression all have spark and all the injectors fire. Someone please fix this. Some things that may be hurting or not. I have no EGR carbon Canister or smog pump hooked up. There is a sensor on the behind the upper intake and between the crossover tubes that is not hooked up wither. And I dont know what that is anyway maybe one of you guys might. I am getting some backfiring when I move the distributor around but that is about it.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS THING????????????????
