I have a 89 F-150 4x4 short bed truck, with a 4.9 engine.....

I was under the truck this morning checking the condition the frame and cab were in...and on the left side toward the front I noticed 1 gas filter, ok this is new put it on last year....ok on back toward the back ( in the area on the door ) there is a cross member going from one side to the other, and behind it looks like another filter or maybe a fule pump....not sure which it is, but theres a line going into it and one coming out the other side...

Its in a nice tight spot....
This truck has only one fuel tank and Im guessing 1 fuel pump in the tank...
Any idea what this maybe Im seeing ?....

Front to back, fuel filter, high pressure pump, single function reservoir since you have a single tank truck. You also have a low pressure pump in the tank.
