Heads up on Code troubleshooting!!

There are 3 types of codes:
KOEO (Key on/engine off)
Continuous Memory
KOER (Key on/engine running)

Tossing codes at us isn't sufficient for correct diagnosis. If a code is in continuous memory & not active, it can mean the ECU has locked out out that sensor's input.

So, do everybody (including you) a favor & denote the type of each code! Don't make us waste a page of posts, extracting the types out of you, or worse, guessing. This is the standard drill.

Also: No such thing as "no codes". 11 & 111 are your best friends, & when it's all said & done, when the fat lady sings, you want an 11 or 111 in all three categories. Absent of all other codes, you should still receive 11 or 111.

Active KOEO are the first codes that should be addressed & rectified. KOER codes are not considered reliable until you do! These are usually pooched sensors. Not just out of range. Pooched! (can also indicate connection or wiring to the sensor)

Read this carefully, it won't kill you (None reported anyway): https://www.f150forum.com/f10/how-re...es-obdi-10907/

& for the high rollers ($22.) Digital numeric display & memory (cable is optional/ not required): http://www.handsontools.com/Equus-In...574.html<br />

Prewarm engine to Norm Op Temp before testing if possible

Help us....Help you!
