i wuld also like to kno how u did this as i was wanting to do it myself also wat dimensions of a flag u used and wat it was made of?

I think the flag was 3' x 5' I couldn't find one around here, I had to have a buddy send me one from Florida.. I took the headliner out, cleaned it, and let it dry.. Then with some help starting at one end, I sprayed the headliner with 3M spray adhesive. NOT THE FLAG. Only spray about 10 inch's or so in at a time let the adhesive get tacky then stretch the flag across and start laying it down. then spray another 10 inch's and so on.. Make sure as your laying it down your working out all the bubble's and creases.. That's why it's easier to have someone help you stretch it.. Cut off all but about an inch when your done around the headliner...DONE

To give a better surface to stick to when I did mine I coated the headliner board with a/c duct sealer and let it dry. The leopard print fabric was pretty heavy so I used carpet adhesive to stick it. In the area where I let the glue tack up it fell later, but the area I put the fabric to the wet glue stayed up. Make sure if you stick it wet that you test first to see if the glue oozes through the fabric.

I did this to my previous truck, 93 F150. When I sprayed the flag or sprayed the headliner then started laying it down it started coming through.. These flag's are pretty thin. I took my time with this one, it's been up for almost a year and still look's as good as the day I put it up. When you spray the headliner then wait for it to get tacky only wait about 15 second's then start laying it.. The 3M dry's quick.

Yeah, flags are usually pretty thin. I figured the glue would bleed through a flag, but if someone wanted to use the fur coat type material like I used then my suggestion would save some grief.

was the flag made of polyester or cotton?

i saw an old episode of one of the car show and they redid the headliner of a car by removing the fabric from the cardboard backer, cutting another piece of cardboard in a flame pattern, then stretching the new fabric over it. i think it would look cool to take a thick piece of cardboard and cut the ford emblem outta it, and very very meticulusly getting the fabric into the crevices and showing the emblem on the ceiling.

i like this idea but you could cheat by finding a ford flag kinda like big foot has and put it on the headliner
