Hey guys, new here as well as ford repair. I have an 87 f150 5.0 fi. Have a few ??s. 1. the box the blower motor bolts to (can't remember tech. name) has had the lower half of it ripped out buy a blow out @ 75. Can this be replaced?? And 2. Where is a good place to find the little plastic clips on the tail handle to release rods and the one that's under the passenger seat of a capt chair to access the rear seat. I know they not stock to that year but look like they ford produced. Please I need to see if it's worth replacing that heater box. If so I'll fix it later and start in all the other issues I'm more worried about that I believe I can. I'm not a new wrench just new to fords.

 

Yes you can change the box. I changed mine, took out the heat only and added a/c. You can leave the fender on but take the plastic inner fender off. Sounds like your tire already took out that.

 

Kinda. It's still there just ripped the back half loose. I got the blower off and the fan is only missing 1 fin. Scale of 1-10 10 being strike a match and watch it burn

 

i have an 89 302 efi 2wd im getting ready to dismantle and say bye to, need parts i might be able to help

 

where abouts are ya at? im sure i could use some parts
